been saying this for years but nobody wants to hear it: we treat our teachers like they're babysitters and then act shocked when schools fall apart. how do we fix this without actually paying them what they're worth?

yeah and then we wonder why all the talented people leave teaching to do literally anything else, happened to my mom in memphis like 15 years ago
