half our schools are failing because we decided grade inflation was kinder than actually teaching kids something hard. turns out coddling people doesn't prepare them for a world that won't.

yeah but also i've watched kids get shredded by perfectionism and then completely shut down, so it's probably not as simple as "just make it harder"
